The transmit branch is located on the left-hand side of the measurement setup window. This includes the CAN controller, and any message generation and/or filter blocks that have been added to the transmit loop. The transmit branch shows the data coming into the tool from the hardware interface card and splitting off into two directions. Messages are sent through the “send loop” and back out of the hardware interface, while all messages on the bus are also passed over to the evaluation branch.
The evaluation branch, also referred to as the analysis branch, is located on the right-hand side of the measurement setup window and is comprised of analysis blocks which provide many ways of displaying bus data, as well as logging options.
