1-23. Write Window

Important information on the progress of the measurement can be output here.  Furthermore, all outputs that the user places in with the Write command in CAPL programs are written to this window.



Messages can be view in 3 different ways in the Write Window:

  1. All messages are displayed; the source and the message itself are displayed to prevent confusion.
  2. System messages; all system messages including bus errors and statistics reports.
  3. CAPL messages; any compile errors or output messages form CAPL are displayed.

You can enter the configuration dialog of the Write window by selecting the Configuration command in the popup/context menu (right mouse button).



Output file

  • Enabled - If this box is active, all outputs of the write window are logged in a file.
  • Path - Shows the path of the output file.
    The button […] opens a dialog where you can select the output path/file.
  • Clear - By pressing this button, you delete the contents of the output file.

Number of lines

  • Maximum - Here you can set the number of lines shown in the Write window.
    Valid value range: 10 – 3,000,000
