XCP Software Component

For data acquisition and calibration, Vector offers XCP modules to be used in XCP Slaves. The modules were developed according to the ASAM standard.

For the use on FlexRay buses Vector offers a special AUTOSAR compatible XCP Transport Layer which optimally utilizes the bandwidth which is available for XCP communication in the FlexRay schedule without affecting the normal FlexRay communication.



The XCP software modules (XCP Protocol Layer and XCP Transport Layer on FlexRay) might be integrated in the ECUs together with the AUTOSAR communication stack of the application. No specific FlexRay stack is necessary for XCP purposes.

Combined with CANape - the all-around tool for measurement, calibration and diagnostics of ECUs - the XCP software modules allow for optimal calibration performance on FlexRay. Together with the XCP master CANape, they offer several FlexRay specific functions like "Dynamic FlexRay Bandwidth Distribution" and "Incycle Multiple DAQ List Transmission".
