Hardware Repair

If you want to send us defective hardware for repair, please pay attention to the following procedure to simplify and enable a quick processing:

Case a)
Sender's state IS NOT a member of the European Union: Please inform the support department of Vector Informatik GmbH

in advance, so the person who deals with this can give information about delivery paper/customs documents for the shipment. This is necessary because there are so many different customs proceedings and a wrong "declaration" from sender can lead to serious problems!

Add to your package a short faulty-report and in case of warranty also a copy of the Vector delivery-note of that time.


Case b)
Sender IS member state in the European Union:

Please send the defective hardware to the above delivery address, including your full address, name, phone- and fax-number.

Add to your package a short faulty-report and in case of warranty also a copy of the Vector delivery-note of that time.
Remarks on a) and b): If it's a question of warranty or goodwill, you will not take any repair-/replacement- or freight-costs. But if you are not member state in the European Union we have to ask for freight/charges.

If It's not a question of warranty or goodwill, you will get an offer from us by fax. The hardware you have send to us will stay at Vector as long as we will receive the official order from you.

The duration for a repair depend on the duration of your order-process and of our supplier/manufacturer (if your hardware cannot be repaired directly from us). The release for the repair to our manufacturer can only be give on receipt of your official order.
