Vector is introducing the new product CANcardXLe, a bus interface for notebooks with an ExpressCard slot. ECU and network developers will benefit from a CAN and LIN interface whose flexibility is based on four independent channels that can be operated with different transceivers.
CANoe.CANopen 4.1 provides comprehensive testing support to developers of CANopen systems and components. This software tool from Vector generates CANopen-specific tests at the press of a button, which can then be run reproducibly in a flexible runtime environment.

Burscheid/Stuttgart, 2007/10/26 - Johnson Controls has completed its first prototype system utilizing the Vector AUTOSAR Prototype Package. Johnson Controls, is one of the world's leading suppliers of automotive interior systems, electronics, and batteries and is an AUTOSAR premium member. This project consists of multiple electric control units (ECUs) utilizing two different hardware platforms which are connected through a CAN network. The project combines several purposes which result in the migration of the current software architecture to an AUTOSAR profile: Evaluation of AUTOSAR basic software, memory size, and CPU load; automatic code generation; and integration of external software components.

managed and processed more efficiently with the Vector tool.
To assure that flash programming of ECUs is protected against tampering, Vector is integrating cryptographic algorithms from cv
cryptovision in its bootloaders. Vector is relying on the use of this tested technology of cryptographic algorithms, which supports security mechanisms required by car manufacturers for software updates.
Effective immediately, the LIN software components of Vector support the new LIN standard 2.1. This makes it possible to create control units according to the new LIN specification. Vehicle
manufacturers and suppliers profit from the new functions and simplified integration of software components in their control units.
Vector is offering FRstress as a
new hardware module for testing FlexRay buses. The tool
stresses and disturbs FlexRay buses in a targeted manner
by generating protocol errors and manipulating the bus
physics. Test engineers at automotive OEMs and suppliers
can now use FRstress to test their ECUs and FlexRay
buses even faster and more effectively.
