The Measurement, Calibration and Diagnostic tool CANape supports the complete XCP family:
CANape supports XCP on CAN. This solution can be used for CAN-based applications, which want to use the improvements of XCP on CAN compared to CCP.
As an XCP on FlexRay Master CANape measures and calibrates individual nodes directly over FlexRay. Since February 2006 XCP on FlexRay is an official ASAM specification. CANape is the first MCD tool that has an XCP on FlexRay interface and a management function for the XCP bandwidth.
For high-end applications, CANape also supports XCP on Ethernet via TCP/IP or UDP/IP.
In combination with an Ethernet to SxI gateway, CANape can be connected to an XCP slave that supports XCP on SxI. This solution can be used for high-end applications that want to use a commonly available SxI interface.
In combination with an Ethernet to DPRAM gateway, as e.g. from Compact Dynamics GmbH, CANape can be connected to an XCP slave that uses DPRAM as its interface. This solution can be used for applications that have very high requirements on performance.
For high-end applications that want to combine high performance with plug-and-play functionality, CANape supports XCP on USB.
At the lower end of the range of applications a simple XCP slave can be connected through a standard RS 232 interface. This solution can be used for basic, low-level and straight-forward applications.
CANape already supports a prototype for XCP on LIN. For the calibration of LIN nodes a Vector specific solution was developed: instead of using an indirect path through a CAN gateway, this solution allows the direct access via XCP on LIN to measueremt and calibration data of LIN nodes.
For having the ultimate flexibility, CANape has a "Vector XCP Transport Layer" DLL interface. This interface allows the support of XCP on "any (user-defined) Transport Layer".
The XCP Basic Driver is available for download at no charge. Please contact our sales team for the "XCP Professional Driver". The advanced features are e.g. flash possibility and resume mode.
Vector also offers consulting services for the integration of an XCP driver into a slave for all the most commonly known interfaces and microcontrollers. If you need further assistance to implement XCP drivers in your ECU, please contact the sales team, too. For a better understanding of the XCP protocol and / or the implementation in the ECU you can book a Vector XCP training.
